Dra Muhamo Posts: 563 Group: Members Member #8 Joined: August 28, 2005	Anybody else here watch, or ever watch, Shaman King? Basic plotline: Asakura Yoh, a shaman moves into a new town. Manta has some rough times following, then becomes best friends with Yoh. Yoh bonds with the spirit of a Samurai and so they become partners, and the Samurai becomes his main spirit. They learn of the Shaman tournament, and Yoh starts training with the help of his fiance. There's the basic outline of important stuff from the beginning. :D

^^The Sugar Alchemist^^ Posts: 527 Group: Members Member #13 Joined: August 30, 2005	Shaman King's pretty kewl. ^^ I've seen the whole anime, Subtitled version.... I used to watch the dub, but I think I only watched two or three episodes before they cancelled it. I know that a few months ago I saw a preview for an episode (or something like it) of the dub somewhere, and I nearly suffocated. It was like "The ultimate evil being... ZEEEEEEEEEKE" and I was like "PFFT!! ^X^ giggle" I've got the manga up to volume 17... I want to but 18 and 19, but I'm kinda broke. ^^; (Plus I put them on my christmas list. What if someone in my family actually got them for me and I had two of each? D=) (Oops, I accidentally sent this post the first time in the form of a report of your post, Nii-san. Maybe they'll see that my reason for it was just a bunch of ranting about SK and dismiss it as another show of my bubble-headedness. xD)

Lance Corporal Posts: 4 Group: Members Member #216 Joined: December 19, 2008	I remember watching the 4Kids dub and liking it ok (before I was more judgemental of dubs), but when I got the first two manga volumes is when I really started to like this series. And I've read up to....volume 12 or 13 I think, wherever they cut it out of Shonen Jump magazine at. Favorite character, easily Horohoro. Although Manta tends to crack me up a lot too.

The Man Behind The Mask Posts: 558 Group: Administrators Member #78 Joined: February 23, 2006	The ending is a bit of a shame... =/; it doesn't end in the manga. The anime gave it its own ending. I'm a bit mad that VIZ went back and redid their older dialogue to take out stronger language. I know I sound like a purist, but hey - I guess I am. Plus, Joco's lips... if 4Kids didn't need to edit 'em, why VIZ?
