Check this one out! Considering MY past experiences with college libraries, I found this quite interesting and down-right bold! Things likeTHIS one make me laugh...All in the name of 'feel good' politics, do they honestly think this will work??? To quote Neal Boortz: 'What people call "price gouging," which is really just a fantasy dreamed up by the anti-capitalists, is the allocation of limited goods and services based on price. For instance, if there is only one gas station in the town...and that gas has to be trucked 50 miles up a mountain...then that gas station can charge a much higher price based on the supply and demand of the situation. But say under this new law, he can't do that. He'll be accused of price gouging. So he has to sell all of his gas at the regular market rate. So all the gas gets sold to whoever buys it, and the station runs out. Now nobody has any gas. There is simply no better way to allocate limited goods than by the magic of the free market. All price gouging laws are going to do is drive gas stations out of business, raise the price of gasoline and do absolutely no good.' Oh well, at least I got my bike up and running again... |

DAMN IT, this guy is STILL taller than me...Life is so cruel at times... Oh well, since the Flyers got the smack-down and are now outta here re: the playoffs, guess my new mantra is "Go Jersey!!!" At least they beat the friggin' Rangers... Oh no, not ANOTHER drunken Kennedy!! Now, be honest, what do you think woulda happened if this had happened to somebody like me instead??? You guessed it, I'd have gotten a free night in the D.C. County Hotel... Crap-o-la, I was really hoping this movie would be a decent one...seems I remain on my search for a movie that will actually scare me... [/end] |

Well, it's Monday, not too much going on. Just some fun stuff today, I was too lazy to check all my regular places for interesting info and news. Y'all need to let me know what you'd like to see...I'm not interested in boring you to tears, but I'm also not above posting only what interests me unless you suggest something different...
:D Some Evangelion stuff for ya, Big V...also some extra tidbits at the bottom of the page...enjoy! Nifty lil' site here! I suggest you make sure you have a fresh cold drink, sit back, and relax. This one will take some time to get to all the goodies (Bleach, Gundam-including new movie news, FMA, Eureka, etc.), but well worth the look. Damn, I wish I could go... THIS is a neat idea. I'd buy it! And for those of us with WAAAY too much free time, here's a fun little plaything. Let me know if any of y'all try it. /end |

Friday (DAMN, where'd the week go????) Need a job? I can think of several extremely talented people who could fill THIS post... Now THIS is original! Scroll down to the headline ---- VIDEO: Deprived Fans Throw TV Tokyo Bone & Threat Letter. Too funny! How'd ya like to be the guy who opened THAT box! :lol: And people say I'M creepy...yeah, I collect skulls as well, but THIS is gold! As far as the shot at Prez Bush being a 'member' of said Skull and Bones society, hell, that just made me even more glad I voted for the guy. Kerry's also in this boat, so don't go thinking he's some kind of goody-two-shoes, either. Found this site...Awesome artwork on the new comics. DC has always been a good one... Also, more Evangelion stuff...copy-pasted this instead. New DVD Set to Include Many Extras -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- According to Diamond, ADV will release a Neon Genesis Evangelion 10th Anniversarry Box Set, with a deluxe case and a "plethora of commemorative items". Although details are still unclear about all the extras, we've confirmed the set will include a limited edition jacket (an original item not available anywhere else), a copy of one of the Evangelion manga (ADV released Evangelion: Angelic Days, Viz released Neon Genesis Evangelion (manga)) and many video extras. More details about other extras are expected soon. The set will retail for $249.98 and is scheduled for release on August 22, 2006. If you haven't found something like this yet, here's some fun stuff for your iPod/PSP. Good anime selection and more to come! Wow...I remember these days! I don't know why they even try, THIS will never change in NJ. I've lived in Florida for quite awhile now, so the last time I went 'home' to NJ, pumping my own gas was by then second nature. Man, you should've seen the attendant's reaction to that! Damn, I thought he'd have a coronary on the spot! I couldn't help but laugh at the dude. Just a few humourous bits today... This one's a riot! If you haven't seen this yet, take a look...a buddy of mine sent me this... 70,000 beer cans in one place! Now, let's have a lil' math lesson today, kiddies... 70,000 cans / 12 cans per case = 5,833.333+- cases 5,833.333+- cases X approximately $10.00 per case (round here, anyway) = $583.34. Yet they recycled the cans for $700.00...I'm wondering, why the complaints?? At least he was a quiet drunk! Hell, Coors should've hired this guy as their spokesperson...'This is how to enjoy our product responsibly!' And then there's this one, which I found funny as well... Imagine finding this in the morning when you wake up. I found this on the P.U.F.F. Unity site's aptly named 'Stupidity Central' forum and commented thusly... 'We had a similar 'crime' committed here in Central Florida (summer after all the fires). At least the 'theives' here were smart enough to NOT live nearby!' And then there's this bit of overreaction...OOOOh, NOOOOOO, Piracy!!!!!!! I still think there are enough people in the world like me who have no desire to sit and 'read' a program...I'll wait for the legal DVD's, thanx, quit handing me this crap-o-la bout 'lost sales'...what are you 'losing', anyway??? Can anybody say 'Metallica' re: this article??? Same empty complaint. /end |

Hey, yuyu, have you seen this one? Looks like it might be a fun game! Apparently, from what my lousy translator spits out at me, you work through the levels as your 'chosen character', gaining power and strength as you go. Let me know if you get anything different out of it. Still undecided if all this attention is a good thing. Seems like Hollywood has a bad habit of screwing a good thing up, so I reserve judgement for the finished product. Listings of acquired stuff here. Apparently, Inu Yasha is finally due to hit the UK, though in reading this, I wonder if it's NOT a scam. Seems the UK has had a problem with 'annouced' releases being merely cruel rumours. We got any UK fans here? Is this really a problem over there? I know I'D be ticked off, not necessarily because it's Inu Yasha we're talking about, but about the false info re: anime availiability there. And as a finale, does this seem waaaaaaay too easy to anybody else? Or is it just me? Sees to me, if you're gonna write a Ransom Virus, you'd make it a lot tougher to crack, wouldn't you? So much for 'intelligent' crooks... |

Damn, I've been slacking on this column...my apologies...Hmmm, who's gonna keep this up while I'm gone??? I'll have to consider that bit... Anyway, my tidbits for the day... This one was too damned funny to keep! There's like [size=5]10 pages[/size] of this crap! Tell me whoever devoted their time to this doesn't have too much free time! And, dear GAWD, how old am I?????? I remember this guy!!! Remember, nutrition will help you grow big and strong!!! Guess I shoulda payed more attention, huh?? (standing at a mere 5' 4" *sigh*) And on a sadder note, this bit, for those of you who either haven't heard or don't consider Voltron worth your while... posted on 2006-06-30 08:43:23 Lennie Weinrib passed away Wednesday morning at his home in Chile. Wow, been awhile since I shared any news with y'all...please forgive my slacking... A few bits today, let's begin the fray! This one is a pretty interesting bit o' news, for me, anyway. Let's forget the movie bit and focus on the anime possibilities. Kill Bill anime...OOOO yeah!!! I'll keep a watch on this one and see what develops. Also quite happy to find this one...considering how awesome a series 'Paranoia Agent' was, Paprika could prove to be one of the highlights of 2007. You may have to scroll through this topic to find the trailer link, but it's worth the effort, believe me. And, now, an apparently unanswerable question: How is it that Ramses' statue has held together for over 3,000 years, yet modern man can't get tile to stick to a wall for more than 20? Things like this just baffle me... Not as much as some of THIS stuff, but at least it's all neat to look at. Mini black holes no less...pretty cool in my book. /end |

*Cracks knuckles loudly* OK, for the day, here's what's gained my interest... Fruits Basket Fans...scroll down, lookie what's at #24! Yeah, it ain't the top ten or anything, but it beat 'Naruto, Vol. 9's impressive #29 showing...keeping an eye on this one to see if it can also beat out Naruto's longevity as well as placement. I consider stuff like this good news! Found a good site for upcoming releases. Please keep in mind that these, according to the site, are generally fan-based submissions and, as always, subject to change. Check out 11/14 - Funimation...Dragonball Z Movie Pak. Not a bad price for 3 movies, either, for those of you still unfortunate enough to not already own said flix. This one sounds like a possible winner, especially if you're a fan of either Hot Wheels-Acceleracers or IGPX. I plan on checking it out, so if it's a bomb, I'll be sure to let you know so you don't waste your hard earned cash. I haven't heard much from this new company, but it's got potential if it can manage a money-making acquisition, I think. Hey, next time you wanna complain about where you live, hopefully you'll remember this bit o' news. Why do I see DVD sales skyrocketing in China very soon? Can their government actually manage to cut off access to sources like Amazon.com, eBay, etc? Bet your ass they can...it'll only be a matter of time. It'd be nice if the current situation caused some quality anime product to come out of China, but I'm just not seeing that happening, either. I feel sorry for those in China as addicted to Japanese anime as we here are...just doesn't seem fair, now, does it? And last but not least, I'm sure any of you into the game have already figured out most of these, but just in case, here's a few cheats for Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3. I haven't had the chance to try 'em all out yet, but looking forward to it. I've checked most of the other cheats I've received, and so far, they're all on the level. If you find otherwise, please let me know so I can thrash the guy sending me this shit!!! /end |

Found THIS bit this morning, and whether you're a FMA fan or not, hopefully you'll see the emerging trend here...yes, it IS the New York Times and yes, they DO have an article re: any kind of anime/manga!!!!! Granted, it's a 'reader's opinion' piece, but just the fact that NYT had to come down off their high horse and print it means we're getting through in my book. I can picture the copy editor's typical, eternally puckered sucking-on-a-lemon facial expression re: anime only intensifying over this one. Between this article and Vol. 9 of the 'Naruto' manga daring to remain on their own best-selling list, I hope he has a nice day now... Damn, what a way to make a living, huh? Here's one for entrepeneurs...and to think the guy got away for it for so long...one has to wonder about the clerks working the stores. If he truly 'cost the retailers' so much in lost sales, imagine what he made re-selling what he ripped off. For your Lupin the 3rd fans, here's a good review site. Can't say I exactly agree with everything written in said reviews, but they're the most thorough, non-biased ones I've seen. It's all fine and dandy to read fan reviews, don't get me wrong. It's just nice to see somebody else tackle the task who's opinion hasn't already been established. These kind of reviews are what I look for when deciding on what new anime/manga to pick up next. I've managed quite a few decent finds that way. And finally, for you aspiring voice actors, here's some help. Sounds like a fun time if that's what your goal is, personally it ain't for me. Having the opportunity to talk to some o' the people there would make the trip more worthwhile to me. Lex Lang is supposed to be quite a gracious, friendly kinda guy. /end |

OK, OK, need a break!!!! Damn, who the hell ever thought up calculus anyway??? They definitely had WAAAAAY too much free time. Like I'm ever gonna ACTUALLY use this stuff...please... Anywho, let the madness begin... I'm deciding whether I like this idea or not. Granted, it sounds like TOKYOPOP will retain creative input say-so on it, but the possibility of Hollyweird screwing up an otherwise good thing still remains. Just seems kind of random to me. Ahhh, I remember the days...this one's a classic case of better them than me!! Gee, I sat around in shorts and a long sleeved tee shirt today, even went for a 4-hour bike ride. Sorry for those of you facing the same situation, buuuuut...then again, maybe I'm not! :P Hope Uchiha sees this one. Just might make his day. I miss that lil' twerp... And, finally, since it's Halloween, some costume/cosplay info. Haven't checked the entire list (GAWD, it goes on and on and on and on!!!!), but what the hell... /end |

For those of you still unfortunate enough to have not seen 'em, Final DBZ Movies coming to Toonami...granted, this is from a fan-type site, but in checking the Toonami schedule, I get the same story. Also, don't forget, since it's Toonami (i.e. on before 11 pm) they may take 'liberties' with them, so beware. |
